I love this story! The starfish story is a way to celebrate and appreciate the people who often don’t see the result of their heartfelt efforts to make a difference. A young boy is on a beach and sees thousands of stranded starfish on the shore. He picks up a starfish, then another one, then another one, and throws it back into the ocean. An old man sees what he is doing and tells him that there are hundreds of miles of beach, so many starfish, how can he make a difference?
