Open Studio Time is a chance to bring a friend, sibling, family member, or your own small group and make an art project at Spark! It’s one of my favorite times because it’s like a mini-art-vacay and a great activity for friends to spend time together.
Choose from painting an acrylic canvas, making beaded jewelry (necklace & bracelet), or making a ceramics project. All of the projects except the ceramics will be ready to take home at the end of open studio time, the ceramics will be ready in about a week (clay will dry for about 5 days then will be fired in our kiln and will be ready for pick up on the shelving outside Spark). Each project takes 1 and a half to 2 hours, and we ask that your group all picks the same project (makes giving instructions and setting up materials much easier! and of course more fun for everyone to be doing the same project).
Popcorn and drinks provided, bring a friend and slow down the pace and enjoy some fun art therapy! Taught by Ann Peden.
Please fill out the form to let us know who is coming and what project you’d like to do (if you know - no problem if you don’t as we can decide when you get here) and what date and time you’d like to come. We will get back in touch with you to confirm the date and time of your class, please note that you may not get your first choice of times if we have a class or event already planned, but in general, we are very flexible with times available for Open Studio (days or evenings, weekdays or weekends).
And where is Spark? 1430 Capital Ave, Suite 121 - enter Market Center (where the Dairy Queen is), proceed into the shopping center and turn right at Sushi One to go to the backside of the shopping center. Spark is upstairs inbetween Your Pie and the Med Spa (you will see a sign outside the door and on the door). Go up the stairs and follow the signs. There also is an elevator and the entrance to the elevator in inbetween A Child’s Closet and the Nail Salon.
